Rain (Short Story)
The muggy twilight of midday weighed the air heavily upon my heart. Each breath felt forced, but soon, despite the bleak scene, I would be the happiest I would feel in a very long time. The heat was unbearable, and just as I turned away to go inside, I found release. A single drop of liquid was all the warning there was before the torrential downpour began.
